I agree. Anyone who cannot open their hearts and homes to displaced animals is missing something in the heart department. Thank goodness for those like your wonderful friend who make up a little bit of the difference. We have always welcomed the less fortunate into our home and they have been the most loving and precious members of our family. Thanks for sharing those beautiful pics of such extrordinary pets.
A fellow animal protector,
What a kind and loving woman Sarah is Pam. To rescue all of those dogs and to give them a good home is just wonderful....... and, what special animals they are.
Such beautiful photographs of man's best friend. XXXX
I had no idea that Dovecote was into rescuing dogs! I too am an animal lover. I have a special fondness for dogs that come through a rescue. At the moment we are without a furry family member, but next spring we are going to adopt through a shelter. Right now my children and I spend a lot of time walking dogs at ARF, a shelter in the Hamptons. Love the doggie images...cute! When are you heading to the Hamptons?
LOVE LOVE LOVE this post - the images and the message. At first glance I thought the lab was my Buster Brown!
Kudos to Sarah! I am a dog rescuer in Dallas and wish I could clone her. The pics of those sweet dogs are wonderful. Thank you for sharing this great post about your friend and her lucky charges. May God bless and keep you all.
bless her soul!!
I remember Great Jones Home- I think we even went by once when visiting-great shop. I'm happy to know she's closer to me now!
This is such a beautiful post. She must be a very giving and wonderful person. ... thanks for sharing such a gorgeous story!
Was browsing and came across your picture of Duke...made me cry. He looks so much like my Hans who we lost two years ago
We took Hans in when he was 7 months old...had him til almost 14years old..Broke my heart when he died. Thank God there are people who rescure these precious animals..People who don't..honestly do not know what they have missed.

It warms my heart to know that there are people like Sarah out there...bless her heart! You can see the thankfulness in all those sweet eyes...what loves they are, and what an angel she is!
How fascinating that she started Great Jones Home.
Loving the sun...finally!!! :D
* I think SARAH deserves to have at LEAST a song written about her love of animals, and her beautifully open heart to receiving so many precious ones into her home!!! ... then again, I suspect she'd be MUCH HAPPIER if just another precious hound were saved... I know I would!!!
We SOOOOOO NEED more SARAHs in this world... especially nowadays, for sooo many reasons!
I raise my coffee cup to BOTH of you this beautiful Sunday a.m!!!
Big hugs for the pups, and please, keep some for yourselves!

wonderful images of sweet four footed friends!
A heart of gold for four legged animals and chic four legged chairs for one to land upon.
Happy summer and hope we have the chance to meet.
Those faces! I can't wait to live somewhere where I can have a dog!
thankful for people
who take care of
our furry friends
Oh I just love this Pam! How wonderful for you to honor Sarah and all her sweet friends in this way!
My sweet lab Gracie is going to post this at her Facebook page, The Gracie Porter Collection.
God has a special place for people like Sarah!
Love catching up with red ticking!
I can't say anything more that hasn't already been said. Lovin' all those sweet faces!
How mazing she is! I recently rescued 2 pit bulls , presently asleep on my sofa. As a child i brought so many strays home that my parents had to build a kennel! Can't wait to finally meet you in NY
Pam these images took my Heart away. Bless your friend Sarah and you for sharing. Excellent work Sarah. Peace and love, Roe
