kid in a candy store..

i am such a kid when it comes to certain things.. i guess we all are..
i get butterflies in my stomach every time i approach this store..

i open the big door... and i sigh... i know i am ready for an amazing experience.
the treasure trove that awaits is beyond words. it is one of the most beautifully merchandised stores i have ever had the pleasure to see. and although a bit pricey, i treat myself to my favorite things... always a piece or two of the produce, a fresh treat from the bakery, various cheeses, and never depart without a couple bags of the best coffee... a handfull of jars that may contain mustard, jam or something i have not even heard of before...and even though i have so many, the little tins of herbs or spices... i always pick up another... so take a look and treat yourself... (maybe i should ask for a position in pr?)

Looks like fun. Do they have a store here in the Pacific Northwest? I was in SOHO about 2 years ago and did not see the store, however when I was there I did not see a lot of things so there will need to be another trip in the near future. HUGS MARY

That sounds and looks amazing. My only Dean & Deluca reference is from watching episodes of "Felicity". If I ever get to New York, it would be near the top of my "to do" list....along with Zabar's! Meredy xo.

I've been there once and I too felt like a kid in a candy store. Such a beautiful way to shop...I can't even imagine the amazing foods one could find there. Delicious.

I love that store. We visit whenever there is one close by. Perfect for picnic items! I always feel so excited to leave with one of their little bags..

I went there when we were in Georgetown DC...it was on my list right along with the Washington, Jefferson & Lincoln memorials! ;)
I was in heaven...had lunch and stars in my eyes. Remember Larry's Market...they sold the tins, I miss being able to get them there. D & D definitely need to find a home here!

I'm still teary from your comment btw...love to figure out a c&c date, you're an angel! xoxo

I visited Dean & Deluca a couple of times when I used to visit New York for work - it was marvellous then and it's obviously got better and better. You're so right - It's the sort of place that makes me think that things like a fig and parmesan jelly are a necessity!!

We have Dean and DeLuca in Charlotte, and it is my absolute favorite!! All of the food is so fresh and beautifully displayed - I feel healthier just walking in...
