there is a great blog flights of whimsy who posted this image awhile ago. i love it as we have the most incredible shutters at red ticking seen on 1stdibs.com that would be great used in this way...

Thank you for the kind comment you left at my blog. I love your store and your blog. In my small town we have one little vintage store.. some quite amazing items can be found there. This week an antique hospital bed filled the window. Most of my children sleep in old vintage beds which were found at hospital auctions - had to wait as old commodes were auctioned off but worth the wait, no one wanted to buy old iron beds except me!
I already have a friend thanks to blogging in the Seattle area - I sent her a gift from down under last year. I must ask her if she knows your store.

Absolutely love shutters, particularly solid ones. I'd have them in the whole house if I could, but currently I only have some in the main bathroom..Rachaelxx

In love with this; orange a grey would not be the first color combo that I would usually be drawn to, but the neutrality of all the natural materials and the patina of the shutters makes this setting sooo beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

The shutters are a great idea, especially in a boxy room devoid of architectural finishes.
