what was i thinking??

do you ever have those moments where you pass something up and then years later think...

"wow, i wish i had that now"... this is one of those moments. i am having friends over this weekend and as i am arranging the garden furniture i remembered this set i found in the south of france that i "passed up". i still think of it and at least i can remember it from this lovely photo.. no worries though... i still have wonderful pieces and we will have a fabulous time... happy weekend everyone!

as i have mentioned, i am a sucker for finding great old pieces and seeing what life they have had and what they can become. God has truly blessed me with my business and i love doing what i love most... restoration. here is fabulous example of how with a little faith and true craftsmen, anything is possible...

cold vs hot?

it is so HOT in seattle and it doesn't look as though there is a cloud in site... i would like to crawl in this cozy tent and fall asleep until it is all over... so i want to know... are you a cold or hot person?

bonfires on the beach

this year, the 4th of july was one of the most magical of all. the day was perfect spent with lovely friends at their amazing beach house ...eating, eating, eating...and laughing, playing games.. and the beach at night was like out of a movie set... as far as your eye could see... bonfires on the beach... it gave us the chills... true american bonding.. campfires and friends...it doesn't get any better than that.

relaxation...

there is nothing i love more than being at the beach. 

i love to roll down the windows as we approach and having that first wave of air hit your face... it is intoxicating! 

i love the way you feel when you are there, relaxed and at peace with your life. enjoying time with friends, preparing wonderful meals, taking long naps and watch movies... pure heaven.
