my favorite tree is the aspen.

we grew up with them surrounding us and i love everything about them... leaves, color, sound they make in the wind and their trunks... when we were in aspen it was interesting to see the graphics carved into the trees... it does not seem to hurt them... just make them more special...

it is not a postcard... this was taken last sunday. our family reunited to celebrate our wonderful uncle's life. it was a very sad but precious weekend. if you ever have a chance to visit this gorgeous place... you will know why it is one of our favorites... and will be for years to come...

chock full at red ticking...

the ticking is feeling so cozy now with fall in the air...
we are chock full of pillows, lighting, vintage furniture, candles and a new shipment from rachel dormor... come and get it!

NEVER a dull moment...

10 foot section of a HUGE sectional came 3 days early without warning. check.

scramble on a saturday at 11:00 am to find a local mover off load sectional from 75 foot semi. check.

too heavy for movers to manage so had to postpone for 2 days to get more movers. check.

movers show up monday morning - 2 men - and it doesn't happen. check.

scramble to find other moving companies who can make this happen. check.

my FAVORITE movers (who were slammed and could not help) happened to swing by red ticking
and found the door open. check.

happen to be on a big house move and have 5 guys with them on their lunch hour. check.

come to my rescue and get the monster into my client's house. check.

all is good. now i am home resting on my sofa... check.

it has been quite a humbling few weeks...
saying goodbye to our dear uncle who was a light in our lives...we will forever love him...

traveling so much...
settling in for fall...
thankful for every wonderful day...
