if you have not checked out 1stdibs.com, please do... it is truly amazing. it really showcases some of the best in antique and vintage items. there are plenty of lovely items to add to your holiday wish list... this amazing steel and wood top table from the south of france is going up on the site tomorrow... and i know it will not last... the color and patina are beyond words.

I agree with your comments about the colour and patina. I became obsessed with an old basement door outside a farmhouse last year. I took lots of photos, many with my zoom lense. I found it fascinating...still do!
