i am a foodie

i love really good food. dean and deluca, joans on third, ina, jamie oliver, restaurants, cookbooks, cooking, baking you name it. now... i am out of control with a new blog i found. www.lottieanddoof.com.  if you love food, you will love the blog and begin whipping things up immediately... nesting

i dont know what it is... too much craziness and not enough sleep? everyone seems tired these days and wanting to rest and "nest". i thought i would pass this sweet room along for others to relish as i do. enjoy and hope you are all having a wonderful day and sleep well...

restful sleep

i have had alot going on lately (not complaining...i am truly blessed) and i am looking forward to a good night's sleep... so on that note, i would love to crawl into this little nest...but i have to say, i am grateful for mine...

easter lily

i love all flowers... but this has to be one of my favorites. the beauty and fragrance is so amazing and fresh. whenever i see my first one in the spring, i immediately take one home and put another in my store. they are so simple, yet so elegant. happy easter everyone...my favorite holiday...full of faith and hope.

vintage fabrics

i love the look of vintage fabrics. the pale tones of color, super soft handfeel, and amazing texture.... obviously, that is why i started my business. when i saw this great shot, i immediately wanted to recreate this and wait for summer to begin.... 4 glorious days of sunshine in seattle recently... it has been heaven!

easter prep

i am borrowing this image from my good friend michael at brockstreet but he won't mind.. it was taken in my home! these are some of the best things you will ever put in your mouth and i am baking up a batch for easter breakfast... please find the recipe in ina garten's back to basics cookbook... i use it all the time and this receipt alone was worth it's weight in gold...

springtime is appearing...

today was such a beautiful day and such a welcome... the sunshine also shows thru in this amazing shot... wow what amazing beauty....

girl's night

i have a wonderful group of friends here in seattle. funny, fashionable and did i mention brilliant? each has their own vibe and i just love that about them... 

last night we dined at  "la cote"... right here in madison valley near red ticking. laurent is the owner and served up some of his wonderful dishes...the winners were: la verte salad... simple, clean and delicious. the cheese plate was devoured...and don't forget to ask for extra homemade apricot chutney...(he needs to sell this) TARTINES are back by popular demand and for dessert... the les crepe sucrees.... L" americaine... peanut butter and chocolate sauce...and to wash that one down... L citronne... lemon and sugar. a delightful evening... as always!
