but i dont believe in crystal balls, so i just buy what i love and hope others will love pieces as much as i do.

fine diner

we have a a fun joke in our family for years. it all started when my niece was a little girl and my sister and i took her on her first trip to the ocean. we stopped and asked a nice man on the street where he suggested we go for dinner. he looked inside the car, and said "oh you have kids"... we said "oh she loves fine dining"! so ever since... she has been known as the fine diner.

well my sister and i took her on a trip recently, she is now 19 (nearly 20) and this was a couple of our meals while on our travels... oh did we have fun... the memories of great food, sleeping in, and good talks are the best... just being together is so wonderful.

like most of you... i am a ralph lauren fan.

i have always been a tried and true follower and as i grew up, i always saved my money and purchased a piece or two when i could.

i was so fortunate to meet him a few years ago. he was so nice and personable... and handsome. everyone stood at attention when he entered his east hampton store... i dont know why i didnt faint... but God gave me complete courage to talk to him. (i wanted to faint later realizing what i just did!) he just commands respect. and deserves it.

i am working on a really fun island house project right now... and this inspiration board is from a couple years ago... but yet, still looks as current as ever.. good ol ralph... inspiring and timeless.

this little boy is oliver. he is one of my dearest friend's sons. whenever i see his face and experience his personality, he brings me so much joy. i will not have children (God had other plans for me) but He has brought me so much joy thru my nieces, nephew and many of my friends children.

i feel so blessed to be part of their lives.

hope your days are filled with as much joy as possible.

i was so fortunate to inherit a huge lilac tree when i purchased my home years ago and have since added several lilac bushes to my yard.

they are budding now and i cannot wait for all of their precious blooms... the fragrance is completely intoxicating! i wish they stayed in bloom all summer...

so i will enjoy every moment while they last. happy saturday...

i'm back...

sorry i have been out of touch this week... i extended my stay at home to spend quality time with my family. it was amazing and the best medicine for all of us. i hope you all had a great week and enjoy your weekend... shipment finally comes tomorrow... stay tuned... xo

easter

i leave in the morning to travel home for easter with my family. i feel like a kid...

easter is one of the most meaningful holidays to our family and it will feel so good

to be together. i feel so blessed.

working from home.

on occasion, i get to work from home. i get to write my own hall pass...

(we all need to do this at times right?)

it just feels better to wake up, make coffee and putter about making calls and sending mail ... although i love my kitchen... i wouldn't mind trading for this one...

i love the fireplace and desk... i have a few pieces in the store that can be used as a home desk... just in case you want to play hooky...
