ticking kaleidoscope

my friend was in red ticking the other day taking photos of things going into her new home... this one came out in a fun way... it reminded me of when i was a child and loved playing with a kaleidoscope... and it is as fun today as it was back then...

paint

i know i know... white paint is so over. but not so if done right. that is the key...

take this for example, a simple little chair, add some fabulous paint, and a you achieve a new fun modern look. FABULOUS.

i just love tolix chairs. i have them in my dining room and they are just so fun and easy to live with... you can purchase them old or new and either way, they are gems.

i love the rush...

i watched the first episode of man shops globe tonight on sundance and i just love it. i can totally relate to the anxious, thrilling rush that you get when you discover the "perfect" piece. people always ask me "what are you looking for?" "what are you doing next?" the fun part is... i never know... i follow my heart. i love what i do but it is extremely difficult... no one quite understands that ... it is extremely difficult to find the diamonds... amongst the rubble... but i have always been a hunter and will continue to bring the best i can to those who will treasure it as much as i do.

since i had so many comments on my last post... i decided to share a bit more... who wouldn't want this kitchen??? not only is it perfect... but it has a panoramic water view of the water... now that calls for another aaahhhh....

this is a room in my dear friend's beach house that i adore... the home is amazing and everytime i walk into it i feel the love and care that is there... unfortunately they are selling it and this amazing set of french furniture is going with it... if anyone is interested, let me know... pale grey paint... perfect patina... amazing.
