beauty

i was so fortunate to inherit a huge lilac tree when i purchased my home years ago and have since added several lilac bushes to my yard.

they are budding now and i cannot wait for all of their precious blooms... the fragrance is completely intoxicating! i wish they stayed in bloom all summer...

so i will enjoy every moment while they last. happy saturday...

I love lilacs, especially the dark purple. I am waiting for mine to bloom so I can cut some and put them in vases around the house. I love how fragrant they are! Enjoy. :)

I wish they would last all year too, my favorite flower and scent.
Seems like we're going to enjoy them earlier than normal this year, or am I just imagining that?

I cute them early and bring them in and they boom in the warmth of the house. So then you can enjoy them longer!

Happy Saturday to you too. We only have one tiny lilac tree left. I'm looking forward to the few fragrant blooms.

Well, I too love lilac. It always reminds me of being a child for some reason. Probably because we had them in the garden and I used to pick it. We have two really old lilac trees in our garden, one lilac in colour and the other a double white. I think that I should buy anothe one of the newer varieties this year. Oh, it's so lovely when everything starts to bud and burst forth. It really makes you feel good to be alive. XXXX

these blooms are INCREDIBLE!!! I just spotted a few lilac trees during my drive through Georgia and they are truly amazing. I've never seen them before in the NE.

We had lilac bushes planted below the windows of my childhood home. Their scent filled the entire house when the windows were open. Sadly, they don't grow here. Your gorgeous photo made me homesick.

How beautiful! Do lilac bushes require a lot of tlc? I have always wanted one, but I don't have great luck with plants!
