ticking outpost

while in nantucket years ago, our friend had a tiny little shop near the sconset beach club and pool. i honestly thought is was one of the most charming places i had ever seen.

she has a gorgeous store in town but this "little outpost" became a happy little treasure trove where you could find a great swimming suit, sandals, a fabulous straw bag, fun hat and other goodies.

years later... i think of this place often and always ponder the idea of a red ticking outpost... who knows where it could turn up ...or what would the product + food assortment consist of?

this building would be a fun shell where i would place it. i have no idea where it is... so if anyone knows, please advise... can you imagine ordering up something fun at those windows and eating at a picnic table eating in the sunshine??

Bainbridge Island. Here is why. There is NO where on this sweet island to get great take away treats. There are a ton of tourists and mom's looking for a easy, good, quality lunch for the beach/park. There are a few special places where people have made their mark and done it well...but not many. You would be a pioneer!!!! Oh and Mae and I are here.

Ooh, YES, I'd visit you next time I go to Washington to see my parents if you'd open it on Bainbridge! I would put sweet potato fries on the menu with garlic aioli! YUMMY! What a fun dream....Happy Monday! xx P&H

I'm with Kimber...Bainbridge Island...and maybe you could have a second, in Edmonds...it could be your closer, "in town" spot...all the tourist, ferry traffic and locals (hint-hint) would be delighted!
Such a fun idea...you've got my wheels spinning now! xo

On block island, RI.- there is a spot called "3 sisters" and they serve sandwiches in metal buckets with chips and cold pop - you eat outside at picnic tables....
nothing could be finer.

Camano island...luscious berries, fresh air and inspiring vintage ideas plus a short escape from the city. Love it there!
