the endless TO DO list...

i am making a real effort to check off some real important tasks this year...

i honestly dont know why it takes me so long to do my own things... when i jump thru hoops to make things happen for others!

as i look at the list, and the $$$$, the time has come little by little to clear my mind..and the clutter!

and, after years of never finding a queen bed... (i love old and there aren't any as we all know) my upholster built a headboard for me in natural belgian linen and it arrives next week... i am so excited... simple, clean and classic... i will never tire of it.

it's the little things in life right?

i know it would have been sacrilege...
but sometimes with just the right twin head boards (you need to buy 2)
you can make a queen. just like you can make a queen from cutting down a king.
but you do need a GENIUS of a furniture maker/ cabinet man on your team to do so.
i have an uphol. headboard, and i love it.
you will be very happy with yours, i am sure.

ooh are you willing to share your upholsterers name? I am always finding great furniture and wish I had a contact.

I LOVE your belgium linen headboard idea! It sounds organic AND beautiful!!
I think it is hard to do things for ourselves because we DO DO so much for others that when it comes to US... we want to just BE... but when we do things for US we want it JUST RIGHT becasue we deserve only the best and this sounds JUST RIGHT! I can't wait for you!!

it sounds like it is going to be lovely, I just sent my little blk chair to my upholster, and can't wait to get it back. I have been redoing my living room in shabby chic after having always had cherry furniture, a little scary but its looking great, my next mission lol, is making drapes for my living room. ye gods, yes it will never stop... till I drop :)

I guess I need to plan a trip to Seattle to see if I approve of the new bed! Was it Lidia we watched on Saturday morning? I'm sure we could find some cooking show to watch while we enjoy your comfy new bed! I'm excited for you. Miss you Pammie, I get to see you so so so soon! :)
