one more... then i am done...

ok, i must admit i am fascinated with hollywood. i LOVE good movies and with that, comes all of the stuff. i do purchase my magazines for those late nights when my head is spinning... they do lull
me to sleep...

so, one more for the road... how could she?
one of my favorite early films of hers was "foul play" with chevy chase...
and of course... private benjamin..

those were the good ol' days... she was so beautiful.

This is just too weird. I saw your prior post with Meg Ryan and I just felt so bad. How can these women look in the mirror and possibly think this is OK. And what about the men in their lives? Or their children?

I guess when your dog doesn't recognize you, you know you've gone too far!

Happy New Year

It's hard to believe that this is the cute girl who starred in Private Benjamin!

Maybe if Goldie changed her hairstyle, she wouldn't feel the need to have the face it is framing stay the same either. :(

(Have you watched the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills yet? That is SAD!)

The superficialness of "Hollywood" has claimed many a beautiful face..female AND male...think Mickey R....although he did have boxings woes to fix up, but still, couldn't they have done a better job??
Keep em coming if you feel the need Pam...it's good to get these things out! ;)

To grow old gracefully is an amazing and noble goal. As the years creep by and wrinkles deepen I try very hard to keep in mind that goal and where true beauty really comes from.
Some of the most beautiful women I know are in the 70's and 80's. So Truly Pretty!

That's sad and also a little scary!

The really frightening thing is that they think they look good!!!!!

It is just so sad how this society is so youth oriented. I would never want to resort to cosmetics surgery, but in some industries there is no room for aging gracefully and too many beautiful women subject themselves to such radical measures and in the result loose their beauty. i have to host a party at Bago in Vegas in the next couple of weeks and feel so out of place sometimes around a much younger crowd. We all have been young once and God willing we will grow old gracefully.

Goldie is the equivalent of a male Peter Pan....you know the guy who just never grows up & acts accordingly. And as for that hair, I've always thought she's always used it to hide under.

Well...
Many of my friends and family feel the need to redo themselves, going under the knife or needle. I am too big of a chicken, but have no desire. I will never say never, but it is doubtful.
Meg Ryan and Goldie look horrible. Why did they do this? Their faces look like onion skin. And these lips, ouch!
Have a wonderful weekend!

If their lips get any bigger, they will fly away. I see Marie Osmond has now joined that crowd too. I'm much more impressed with Jamie Lee Curtis who is aging gracefully and beautifully. I, too, know many lovely older women who are still beautiful without any work being done!

* MEG (Ryan), MELANIE (Griffith) and GOLDIE were ALWAYS two of my VERRRRY FAVES... they radiated joy, a special kind of "innocence" and they were sooo "likable", probably BECAUSE they seemed so "REAL", like they weren't trying to "impress" anyone... they had a lightheartedness about them that was so irresistable, even to us gals!~~~ we all "LIKED" them (we weren't "threatened" by them as my hubby sez) & MANY of us thought they'd be great fun just to "share a cuppa" with!

Sooooo, soooo sad they listened to OTHERS & just let themselves fall PREY to the wills of the H'wood ilk...

My yummy husband can't stand the changes, either... he sits there sort of scratching his head saying "WHY would they DOOOO that, honey? Don't you EVER dare!"...

...and MY answer? "NEVER gonna happen HERE, kiddo! I don't MIND getting older... I just want to do it gracefully & w/ style"........ (You know, have FUN with it, be the BEST P*E*R*S*O*N I can possibly be, and still share the flair and a "zest" for the very wonderful life with which I've been so blessed!)...

These gals, IMHO, would be soooo much happier doing good for OTHERS & FOCUSING LESS UPON THEMSELVES, WHILE of course, staying healthy, eating right, etc.~ giving OF themselves... MOST people with an OUNCE of common sense KNOW that's really & truly where real beauty comes from anyway!

2,011 warmest wishes, along with THANK YOU for sharing! Annnd, thanks for letting ME speak MY mind/reaction to Botox Babes & other sad people... SO SO SAD...

This is so funny! Last night I was shopping with my daughter. A woman came up to me and asked me where i got my boots. As we were talking she got this look on her face "Oh my God, you look just like Angelina Jolie!"
After seeing the quizzical look on my face she said "I mean before all the plastic surgery!". LOL! Now, I didn't know how to take that!

I plan on aging gracefully. Carol Burnett, Mary Tylor Moore are others gone under the ugly knife. Hollywood hackers. So,so wrong!
