inspiration...

i gather inspiration from everything.
our trip to the ocean was terrific to inspire me to get back to work in my garden. the ocean gardens (even though wintery) looked so well manicured and pristine that it has made me want to work harder on mine... so even though temps are low... i am out there tending to it to make it wonderful... because i know spring is right around the corner... i can see the garden preparing... and that makes me happy...

What a lovely, naturally distressed gate and I'd also love to know what is beyond it !! XXXX

What a lovely image. Yes, I can't wait until spring when the warmer weather arrives and the spring flowers pop up.

I love seeing the the bright green tops of the bulbs pushing through the ground. Such a miracle when it is so grey out! I just pruned my daphne and brought all of the branches inside -- they smell so nice!!

i love love love love to putter around in my garden.
my kitchen is glass on one side which opens to the garden.
all the flowers, once they have sprung...make a happy room.

Thank you for your kind words... I lost my sister in law to ovarian cancer. There is one story, a PSA of sorts, on the blog and the others were removed temporarily as they upset a couple of family members. Since everything was published on the blog, I am more than willing to share the thoughts I had written via email... after all I was affected too...

I love ocean gardens. I am coastal on the other side of the country!

That photo reminds me of a famous painting - the name escapes me, but I can see every blade of grass, even if it is brown and weathered by Winter.

Late winter is one of my very favourite times of year in the garden when everything is starting to get ready for spring. It's still very hot here in Australia and everything is starting to look just that little bit tired. Enjoy this magical time! Leigh
